- Reposted by Julia EmtsevaMy new article, “The moral economy of global priorities,” is now out in RIPE. It argues that greater attention to #morality in #IPE and global #governance scholarship is needed to understand new dynamics of #privatization and market rule. www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10....
- I watched Bugonia and Musk’s Davos speech in the same day. How to unsee the alien resembles between him and bold Emma Stone send help pls
- I have the feeling that Trump tricked everyone when he pushed for the BoP idea in the Gaza Peace Plan UNSC resolution and when it was adopted, he decided that it can now be transformed into the huge machine of alternative United Nations which was sort of encouraged by the original UN itself 🤯
- I can’t believe I am living in the age of the rapid death of international law and Macron speaking in Davos wearing aviators
- Join us tomorrow at 10 am CET for a chat with @ntinatzouvala.bsky.social about her new piece and what critical international legal scholars can do (or should we at all?) about the looming erosion of our field. Details are in the ESIL's post: uva-live.zoom.us/j/3935099190...
- If you thought your rightwing uncle is annoying at the Christmas/new years celebration table, think about Trumps family, where they have to endure his crazy over-holidays ideas like invading another country 🙃
- What’s up with this move of Israel to recognize Somaliland? I get it that it’s not a great development in the context of the war in Ukraine but what about Palestine? What about recognizing them?
- Reposted by Julia EmtsevaBestie @suzanarahde.bsky.social and i wrote a thing about Taylor Swift and feminism as consumerism for @tribunemagazine.bsky.social and you should all go and read it and then also share it (& tell us how great it is tbh because it really is) tribunemag.co.uk/2025/12/is-t...

- Ok the first batch arrived merci y’all
- My Friday writing session's strong urge is to start referring to scholars and colleagues by their first name like "as Tony said that Eurocentrism sucks, Martti took it as a challenge and wrote a whole trilogy on that noncontroversial take"
- I spoke about the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation and the future plans for the reconstruction of Gaza in a podcast episode. Not claiming to have any hot takes but I encourage you to listen how I pronounce Israel with my heavy Slavic accent - have fun! open.spotify.com/episode/2k4O...
- You see the Ultras I see a publishing opportunity
- Ok the reinforcement has arrived
- Do you think I can be psychologically not well because I can’t learn French? I did at least 5 different B1 courses and I still don’t speak and I have the conviction that I never will. Even with my average intellect, it can’t be that it’s impossible to learn it? Should I maybe do a therapy first?

- The ICJ said that UNWRA was indispensable because no other well functioning humanitarian systems were in place. But what if the alternatives, like the GHF, were well functioning? Would the problem disappear for the Court? I discuss these and other questions in the post below 👇
- Who is this person?
- I’m presenting my new paper at Sciences Po on Nov 26 - stop by if you are in Paris! And if you are not, invite me to present it at your institution so I can use my travel budget before teaching term starts 😆
