Q (two-parter): (1/2) Do you see TV/Film-writing becoming more collaborative, in the wake of the WGA negotiations or more singular, in the wake of successes like "White Lotus"? (2/2) What would you recommend for a newbie trying to break in? (...sorry if this is greedy).
(I realize this may not be a short answer, but) how are you feeling about the industry in this current post strike environment?

Have you ever started with an idea that turned out to be from the middle of the story and nowhere near the beginning or end and had to build around it?
If so, is that more or less challenging then working linear?
How much do you follow the 'basic structure' (ie: save the cat etc) and how much is gut?
