This morning, Tom Homan said that 700 federal agents will be drawing down effective today. At the press conference he said it will leave around 2,000 federal agents in Minnesota doing “immigration enforcement”. 1/
Let me be clear, this is as a result of our neighbors who patrol, observe, and support our immigrant neighbors with mutual aid and daily tasks. Our community has created a system that keeps families together which has been successful. 2/
However, I cannot in good conscience tell you that those who are vulnerable to deportation are safe. Tom Homan said there will be “targeted operations” but that if you’re in the country as an undocumented immigrant you’re not off the table. 3/
Please continue to observe, patrol, and support our immigrant neighbors. We still need the help of our neighbors. We cannot let our guards down as this is far from over.

Feb 4, 2026 15:10Yes, WHY did he say this? Because the county is now going to work WITH ICE as other states do. All the ICE agents are here BECAUSE of those like YOU that didn't want the county and Ocala to work WITH ICE. The Federal Govt won this because the county is caving.
