- You can get 33/1 on Michael Olise winning the Ballon d'Or
- Imagine if this unnamed footballer were widely acknowledged to be in the midst of a major slump in form...
- The thing is Martin Odegaard probably is in a slump brought on by injuries and a changing role at Arsenal. That's quite exciting if you're Mikel Arteta. This is what underperforming Odegaard looks like.
- Looking at these, there's really not a lot to say about Saka's supposed drop off that isn't just cold streak. That spike late in 2023-24 by the way? That's the last time Saka, Odegaard and Havertz started in the Premier League.
- Pulling up Wharton and Anderson was the first thing I did when Mike gave us our new player comp bar chart tool thingy and well well well, Wharton has somehwat closed what felt like a pretty sizeable stats gap from several months ago
- Maybe Chelsea's best chance of winning this tie started with them keeping it tight for a while and nicking something late. Their execution of that plan, though, was found wanting in resounding fashion as they tried to play on Arsenal's imagined nerves.
- Anyway this man was certainly aged by that Chelsea performance.
- I just cannot get over the idea that a head coach thought the best defence on earth might shit the bed because of Cole Palmer and Estevao. Very good players but Arsenal have shut down much better. And the Emirates knows that.
- Rosenior says he thinks there was a moment in the stadium around the 60th minute, when Estevao and Palmer came on, where it felt like the game could turn away from Arsenal.
- Waka waka
- FT Arsenal 1, Chelsea 0 - Any minute now, Chelsea are going to start playing with some urgency.
- 1-0, Havertz
