Hey my lovelies, do you have recommendations for lovecraftian horror movies? They don't have to be literally lovecraftian. I'm watching Color Out of Space and I NEED MORE. I've seen the Re-Animator films and In the Mouth of Madness, plus a bunch I'm forgetting 😅

That one is soooo good From Beyond (Re-Animator folks) The Borderlands (aka The Last Prayer) The Void The Mist The Endless They Look Like People (psychological horror) Annihilation

Oh noice, a few I haven't seen yet, thank you ❤️ I can't bring myself to like Annihilation. I absolutely adore the book series and the movie was so horribly butchered compared to the book that it legitimately makes me mad 😅 Just the way how they had to make the main characters military is argh

Smelled like US military propaganda. The movie just totally managed to fuck everything that was so good about the book, and it's easily in my top 3 books of all time, so, yeah… I have Opinions™ 😅

I had the opposite experience of loving the movie, checking out the books, and finding them disappointing. Movie stands on its own as very good!
