Tim vs Alicia was complex, I don't know if he was a YIMBY per se but It presaged larger debates about Left Nimbyism that YIMBYs have basically won. If CB 9 had rezoned in 2013 we'd have 1000s of apartments on Empire Blvd instead of Wendys and McDonalds. cc @rachelholliday.bsky.social
