- "I guess that depends. Are any of them poison-types? I didn't know it was because there were such Pokémon there so I never researched..."
- Itsuki gave a soft laugh. "Well...she sure did a good job of accidentally derailing everything. I tried moving to Paldea just to take the challenge there but I also actually listened when the teachers said not to go there..."
- "It's fine. Pokémon have their own personalities. You know I have to deal with a spoiled Floette. Being a good trainer is trying to work with them, right?"
- He was in shock for a moment before giving a soft laugh, trying to pet the Pokémon. "You...didn't even realize you were coming out to a battle, did you? Are you okay?"
- "Wait. What? Whoa!?" Itsuki quickly got out of the way but there was no helping his Scolipede at the moment as it fainted before he recalled it. "Uh...i-is your Pokemon okay?!"

- "The city would welcome it. Useful doesn't mean it's not destructive."
- "It's because of those shards popping up. They're easier to make as long as trainers keep turning them in."
- "Are...you okay?"
- Well, he wasn't expecting that reaction. "It's kind of a reward. The mega shards are making a huge mess of the city, growing like vines. And you'd need at least 200 shards and the average you'll get unless you find a huge vein is 5. So it still is some work that benefits the city."
- "You'd assume correct."
- "You didn't know? Yeah. You can grab some of the shards growing around town and turn them into Quasartico Inc on Autumnal Avenue."
- "Hang on..." Scolipede didn't faint but shifted back to normal. It was either horrible or perfect timing considering that meant it was slowed yet faster than it's mega again. "Scolipede! It seemed to really hate that! Go for another Gunk Shot!"
- "Most of the newly discovered stones you can buy, you know."
- "Whoa" Focus! "Scolipede! Roll Out to close the distance and then Gunk Shot." She wasn't as fast anymore but she did her best, rushing forward to attack before the mega energy ran out.
- "They're real?!" Well, they just lost the plot of the battle.
- Itsuki was getting antsy for a moment. Scolipede could only stay that way for so long before having to recharge. But then he saw it... "What...is that? It's not a mega... Wait. I...swear I read of something like that in a magazine last year..."
- "It's what you're here to research, right? A lot have been discovered. And the regulations of one per a team are gone now..." A little tease of what else Sun could see.

- Itsuki quickly returned Arbok to his ball as he fainted. He was sweating a little. Dragalge had a water attack but Nidoking knew Ice Punch... "Go! Scolipede!" He moved quick, puling out..a choker with a megastone on it? The trainer was fast to activate it. "Give Nidoking a taste of his own+

- "Arbok! Watch out!" Even with the speed and how tanky he was, an Earthquake was hard to escape from. Arbok was hanging on by a thread but Itsuki was hanging onto the assumption of no healing... "Arbok! Try to get in one more Ice Fang! You can do it!"
- "Oh! Such a little cutie! Where did y-" The café worker froze as he looked up. "You...you're..."
- Itsuki couldn't help himself. He started walking passed before he saw and froze. A Budew. A shiny Budew! "Oh! Little baby!"

- "Arbok!" Itsuki was now worried from the scene before he thought quickly. "Arbok! It won't be very effective but it should shake him off! Gunk shot!" Arbok didn't hesitate. It was like spitting a poison lugi at his opponent.
- Viper sighed, collapsing onto a nearby bench as the sun started to rise, ending the fighting for the night. His pride and joy, his shiny, alpha Arbok, nuzzled him. "...You did great tonight, Arbok. I feel like we're still stuck, though. ...No, that's not fair to you. I'm still stuck..."
