- It worked well in the end (I think). Character actions had an impact on different aspects of the whole, and the biggest theme: the imperial war machine is an oppressive evil, was clearly evident. 3/
- It was the first major engagement in the characters attempt to build a resistance, and finally bought them the attention of the rebel alliance. It was a good session! /fin
- If you’re planning to make the rebellion more prevalent in your game following this there’s a separate game called Age of Rebellion that uses the same rule set that has some helpful info and stat blocks. That game also has two sets of mass combat rules though they favor having a dedicated commander
- I have this. It definitely wasn't going to be when we started out, but the more and more the campaign has moved on the more heavily the characters have leaned into this territory.
- Something something plans never survive contact with the enemy and dm plans never survive contact with the party. If you need some extra inspo the old West End Games star wars RPG had a bunch of rebel focused stuff, the stats would be hard to convert but there’s some good stuff in thereFeb 2, 2026 21:49
- West End Games Star Wars was the game that kicked off my love of rpgs (that and MERP). I wish I had kept my books (I have the FFG reprint of the rules, but nothing else). Still have all my old MERP stuff though! 😂
- Starwarstimeline.net/Westendgames.htm is a really good aggregate of the west end star wars stuff, they even have stuff from magazines. You know I never looked at Middle Earth Role Playing before but it does sound kind of enticing right from the jump, potential for adventure and politicking galore
