Mughal Emperor Shahjahan eulogized as a patron of Bhasha poetry by his contemporary poet Sundara 'Kaviraya'. The poet - who was from Gwalior - was first granted the title 'Kaviraya', then 'Maha Kaviraya' by Shahjahan.
