TIME SENSITIVE ACTION: Historically, organized labor has achieved gains that extend far beyond its own membership (ie limits on child labor, the 40-hour workweek). These gains depend on workers’ right to collective bargaining, a right that Virginia’s public sector employees currently do not have.
