- Question, for folks watching Star Trek: Academy: Is this Doctor (EMH Mk.I) at the Academy the Doctor who returned to Earth with Voyager, Or the copy from his mobile emitter, which would have woken up ~150 years before this series in the Museum of Kyrian Heritage, & should by now have gotten home?

View full threadRIGHT? It's *exactly* the kind of payoff that the setting demands, *exactly* the kind of connection to past Trek that Picard and Discovery both used to great effect, and *EXACTLY* the kind of character drama I want Picardo to be able to sink his teeth into.
- Some of the best scenes in Voyager are Picardo playing off of Picardo. And yeah, remembering the lore is important. The Voyager episode when they meet the two Ferengi who got trapped in the Delta Quadrant in the TNG episode when Riker had to negotiate was a great callback.
- I read an article somewhere that I can’t find that said it’s the original doctor and not using the story about the other doctor was a missed opportunity.
- If I were the writers, I would have the Living Witness Doctor show up during this series, because that would simply be amazing.
- I, and anyone with a semblance of a brain, know exactly where those 10-25 goddamn soulless monsters stand on the issues at hand. The problem is that the Democrats STILL WANT TO WORK WITH THEM AND BE BESTIES WITH SAID OATH-VIOLATING COWARDS. THAT is why they get yelled at more.
- One of the classic Westminster Dog Show bits for me is when the in-arena announcer describes the dogs as like "a courageous little clown and an ideal companion" while they're trotting around. More athletic competitions need that kind of real-time commentary.
- "A sweet breed of baseball player who warms your heart while hitting long dingers. Some have said the only thing bigger than his kind disposition is his rather large posterior. This is the catcher, number 29!"
