it is to Toby's shame that he continued to prop up Materia after their disgraceful handling of his music, and it's especially awful that he's continued to assign them authority over new work even after those stories were out. you can't tolerate that kind of dirty dealing!
It's hypocritical, it's hostile, it's violent, it's pulling the ladder behind you.
Don't get me wrong here, there's a lot of fault here. There's a system of perverse institutional pressure that traces all the way back through YouTube to the MPAA. But there are human beings at the tip of that chain choosing to participate in the problem instead of doing right by other people.
