- Another obligatory New Year art. 🙂 Since 2026 is the Year of the Horse, I decided to choose one of the many extinct horse species. This is Mesohippus bairdi, which lived during the Early Oligocene in North America. Happy holidays! #happynewyear2016 #yearofhorse
- Long-snouted tyrannosaurid Qianzhousaurus sinensis attacks high-crested oviraptorid Corythoraptor jacobsi. Qianzhousaurus belongs to Alioramini, a clade of gracile tyrannosaurid with probable preference to small and agile prey. Late Cretaceous of China. #paleoart #dinosaurs
- Painting of the front half of Giganotosaurus carolinii, a large carcharodontosaur from the Late Cretaceous of Argentina. It was among the largest theropods ever existed and rivaled big T. rex specimens in size. #paleoart #dinosaur #giganotosaurus
- A sketch of a Tyrannosaurus rex pulling at the hide of its prey. The front upper teeth of tyrannosaurids were D-shaped in cross-section and used for carving and scraping meat from bones. Some dinosaur bones even bear teeth marks left by this behavior. #paleoart #dinosaur #tyrannosaurus #trex

- Chindesaurus bryansmalli, a basal predatory dinosaur from the Late Triassic of Arizona. Its holotype, a partial postcranial skeleton, was nicknamed "Gertie". Chindesaurus was classified as herrerasaurid, but recent analyzes recovered it as Tawa hallae relative. #paleoart
- Monochrome portrait of Saurornitholestes langstoni, a dromaeosaurid from the Late Cretaceous of North America. It's known by many fossils, including almost complete skeleton. The relatively boxy skull of this specimen was described in 2019. Keratinous snout tip is speculative. #paleoart
- Yawning Prognathodon overtoni for friends's Birthday. Prognathodon is a genus with a complex taxonomy. Some of its species have been reclassified as separate genera, while others are the opposite, such as this one, previously known as Brachysaurana. Done in Paint Tool Sai 2.0. #paleoart

- An adult Ceratosaurus nasicornis caught juvenile Torvosaurus tanneri. These theropods, like an Allosaurus, were found in the famous Morrison Formation, but their remains are much less common. Despite some differences in food sources, they competed and killed each other from time to time. #paleoart

- Today I downloaded Gimp and did some work in it. It was a lot of fun using the different tools! The result was this portrait of a random megaraptoran. Megaraptora is a clade of possible coelurosaurs (or even tyrannosauroideans) with forelimbs adapted for capture of prey. #paleoart

- Intasuchus sylvicola, a intasuchid temnospondyl from Middle Permian of Komi Republic (Russia). It was an animal with 20-25 cm skull reinforced with ridges. Intasuchus is part of Inta faunal assemblage. In this drawing proportions were based on probably related Glanochton latirostre. #paleoart

- Portrait of meridiungulate Pyrotherium romeroi from the Late Oligocene of Argentina. The skull of this big herbivore was massive, with an elongated nostril, so that it could have had a short trunk. Because of this, Pyrotherium was previously classified as a relative of elephants. #paleoart

- Reposted by Ildar GismatullinMeet Palaeocampa anthrax, a newly discovered Carboniferous lobopodian, and 150 year old mystery fossil! Palaeocampa is an exceptional lobopodian - it lived in rivers and lakes, bristled with thousands of poisonous spines, and more. 🧵 Open access: nature.com/articles/s42...

- Lusovenator santosi, a Late Jurassic carcharodontosaur from Portugal. It was described from incomplete specimen from Lourinha Formation in 2020. I did much of this drawing last year and fixed some details recently. Based on skeletal by @sassypn.bsky.social. #paleoart #dinosaur

- Reconstruction of noasaurid Kiyacursor longipes from the Early Cretaceous of the Kemerovo region (Russia). It's known by partial postcranial skeleton including articulated hindlimbs. Kiyacursor had cursorial adaptations and could run quickly from predators. #paleoart
- Color portrait of Asfaltovenator vialidadi, a probable relative of an Allosaurus. It's partial skeleton with skull was found in Lower Jurassic sediments of Cañadón Asfalto Formation in Argentina. This dinosaur has a mixture of primitive and progressive traits. #paleoart
- Red sketch of Tyrannosaurus rex with exoparia, a recently found soft tissue in cheek region. This structure probably stabilized jaw during feeding. Similar tissues were found in extant chickens and could be present in many non-avian dinosaurs. Done in Paint. #paleoart
- Portrait of Inostrancevia alexandri, very big gorgonopsid from Late Permian Russia. It's known by skulls and skeletons from Arkhangelsk region. With high head up to 50 cm long and sabre-like serrated canines, Inostrancevia was apex-predator of its region. #paleoart

- Speculative portrait sketches of megaraptorid Maip macrothorax from Late Cretaceous of Argentina. It's known by incomplete postcranial skeleton, and we usually reconstruct its head based on other megaraptorids. But what if Maip had a bit different head shape (right sketch)? #paleoart

- Reposted by Ildar GismatullinOkayyy artist introduction time! Hey, my name's Tas and I'm an Australian palaeontology student and palaeoartist. I've been captivated by prehistory almost my whole life and trying to draw it for just as long! I mostly do digital, pencil and papercraft work but anything else is fun too!
- Trying new gel pens in my craft paper sketchbook. 🙂 This is portrait sketch of Diademodon tetragonus, big herbivorous or omnivorous cynodont from Middle Triassic of Africa and Argentina. It had very wide postorbital part of head with big muscles for food prossesing. I decided to draw it hairless.
