He means every racist thought he shares. 5. His base agrees with him. 6. He will do it again. 7. No one in power will hold him accountable.

- I don't know if I have adequately fangirled on here about @allisonpugh.bsky.social's book, THE LAST HUMAN JOB. It documents in exquisite detail how AI and technology are making daily life miserable. It is so smart and also so beautifully written. www.allisonpugh.com/the-last-hum...

- There is a lot of discussion about how to teach controversial topics in classrooms. One of my go-to formats for values clarification exercises* are Talking Points, originally designed by Neil Mercer.

- thanks for reading, john! we are really proud of this work and are happy to see others engaging with it
- I am so sad to hear that we have lost one of our comedy greats, Catherine O'Hara. I love her for so many reasons, but the permission she gave the rest of us to embrace the truly outrageous parts of ourselves was a gift. Me, Halloween 2020, as Moira Rose

- "Neoliberal multiculturalism rests on a simple premise that diversity is welcome as long as it can be made profitable. Difference is embraced when it can be commodified and put to work for institutional prestige and corporate agendas."
- In my latest blog post I think through how ICE agents targeting immersion schools in Minneapolis connect to a broader collapse of neoliberal multiculturalism and what we should do about it. educationallinguist.wordpress.com/2026/01/29/i...
- "Rather than naming neoliberalism as the source of harm and the root of the economic inequities that have led to such despair in many of our communities, it casts multiculturalism as the problem. Diversity becomes the scapegoat. Immigrants become the threat."

- y'all... if i wrote fiction, i could write a banging short story about the neighbor drama that has unfolded around an icy hackberry branch dangling ominously over our shared power transformer. it's been WILD.

- Reposted by Ilana HornI wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good. Stay free
- Going into the second day without power here in Nashville. We were fine in the snow, it was the ice storm that really did us in. Yesterday morning, we woke to the creak and snap of ice-laden tree branches all around our otherwise silent neighborhood.
- Reposted by Ilana HornI’m in awe of what schools are doing daily to hold kids & families up when other institutions won’t. A lesson for ed research so committed to “schools as oppression machines” that it can’t see them as sites of care, protection, and dignity.
- Grateful for this beautiful review of our book, "Teacher Learning of Ambitious and Equitable Mathematics Teaching: A Sociocultural Approach" link.springer.com/article/10.1...
- A woman on the airport shuttle told me all about her rescue dog named Moonpie, and that has given me many warm smiles today. To picture this more fully, please note that there are three syllables in the "pie" part of the name alone.
