- Good news: The EU plans to phase out soy biofuels by 2030 🇪🇺 📣 The European Commission proposed that soy-based biofuels no longer count toward EU renewable energy targets. These biofuels would be fully phased out by 2030, and Member States would have the option to act sooner.
- Battery electric vehicles (#BEVs) remain the single most important tool for car manufacturers to reduce CO2 emissions. ✅ In 2024, 9 out of 10 major manufacturer pools relied on BEVs, and to a lesser extent plug-in hybrids, to meet their CO2 targets.
