Very boring, probably won't post much, definitely won't follow back.

- I don't think that is fair, he only engaged with people who were saying when is international men's day (which IMO if a woman had done it would have looked petty and defeated the purpose)

- I think in this case you need a soft no to get rid of the pushy ones followed by a hard no to rebuff the socially inept.
- Fun fact: Bovril was created by a British company, at the request of the French Emperor Napoleon III, during the Franco-Prussian war. It was known as "Fluid Beef" and was for distribution to French troops. Unsurprisingly, they rebranded it pretty fast.

- If you say Vache Qui Rit and Valkyrie in a French enough accent they sound similar
- That was a truly horrible game of football made hilarious by the late Havertz goal. Sky waxing lyrical over Chelsea and Rosenior playing the long game when they just wasted at least an hour of a game when they were a goal down and had to score. Tactical disasterclass imo. Arsenal go to Wembley!
- Took 3 of the last 10 minutes to take a free kick straight into the wall

- Still better than Mrs Brown's Boys
- I suppose it's tedious for me to argue about whether or not something is weird, but it's worth noting that Poincaré would've found it weird. Here's him talking about Hilbert's program, from 1913. Wonder what he would've thought of today's "logic piano" !

- Isn't the point that some of the problems have already been solved and some the AI got plausibly wrong. We are checking what AI presents to us as answers and if it is wrong asking it again until we are happy.
- There was a horse that could do sums, it expressed the answer by tapping it's foot the appropriate number of times, but it turned out it was just tapping until its owner looked pleased. This seems to be where we currently are with AI.
- I am begging people on r/Brum to visit literally any other town or city. "I think the juxtaposition of old and new is really unique!" - no it isn't "The indoor market is amazing and really unique!" - it's neither "We've got so much green space!" - we've got one(1) churchyard in the city centre.
- When I lived there the evening mail regularly ran interviews with locals which would go - Brum is the best city in the world. Which other cities have you been to? None, I would never leave because it is the best city in the world.
