Rewatched Battle Royale for the first time in maybe 10 years and actually think I love it more? It’s good in a simple “Gimmie kills!” way, which was probably how I used to approach it but this time, I really dug the more subtle way it gave depth before the cruelty. Satisfying cruelty but still.
