- This is actually hard to watch because it’s so timely and heartbreaking that we are still dealing with this so many years after it was written
- Sir Ian McKellen performing a monologue from Shakespeare’s Sir Thomas More on the Stephen Colbert show. Never have I heard this monologue performed with such a keen sense of prescience. Nor have I ever been in this exact historical moment.TY Sir Ian, for reaching us once again. #Pinks #ProudBlue

Just one catch: per the wording of the guidelines, _just by entering_ you transfer copyright ownership of your story to Harper's parent, Hearst. 1/3

- Seven years in, and @interstellarflight.bsky.social is finally seeing some recognition from the bigger SFF outlets. Small presses are often overlooked, so it's a delight to get to see our authors succeed.
- Reposted by Holly Lyn WalrathHey everyone! Huge news! Our trans girl scout list has sold a total of 146,000 boxes as of today! But MANY trans girl scouts only have 20, 30, 40 boxes sold. I just resorted our list to put those on the top. Go get your girl scout cookies and make a trans kid's day!

- This is a beautiful personal essay and it is a worthwhile read. It gave me a lot of hope about my chronic illness and the struggle to make time to write.

- Reposted by Holly Lyn WalrathFellow SFWA members, I hope you won't be leaving the poetry section blank in your Nebula nominations. It's the first year of the award, and important to show that it gets the love it deserves. If you don't know where to find great SFF poetry, just ask me or another SFWA poet, and we can direct you

- It is so frustrating running a small press sometimes. All our fall books we submitted for copyright registration, which show a delivery date in November, were only “received” after I sent an email asking wtf was going on. This has been an issue since day 1. Mind you we pay for each one.

- I’ve been thinking about this poem today. It’s a nature poem but it’s oddly fitting for the events of the last week.
- Some days all you can do is wake up, cry a little about the state of the world, and then keep living. Fold the laundry, feed the dogs, take them on a walk, make a birthday dinner for your spouse, tell the ones you love how much they matter to you.
- Poetry of witness is more important now than ever 🖤
- We are observers, not protestors. We show up to document and film the atrocities ICE is committing. Using 5 year olds as bait. Kidnapping senior citizens. Breaking down doors without warrants. Murdering poets and nurses. Media has all of that information because *observers* were there to document it
