- One of my favourite emails to reach me this year: My @awi.de colleague send a message in a bottle to his kids from an #Antarctic expedition and the bottle reached my home #Tasmania after only 900 days at sea travelling 15,000km! Quick work for the mighty #SouthernOcean! www.awi.de/en/about-us/...

- The best part about our icy research is sharing it! Our calls with schools were certainly a highlight of the Denman Marine Voyage! 🧊🧪⚒️🪨🚢
- Very proud of my #IODP shipmates for spearheading this amazing paper on our new data from #Exp395. We are looking at the onset of deepwater formation in the North Atlantic and its relation to Greenland‘s ice sheet. ⚒️🧪⛰️🪨🚢🧊 www.nature.com/articles/s41...

- Hey Bruce Rise, how have you been in the last year? Bruce Rise is a fascinating continental fragment, which wedged itself between Australia and #Antarctica during the opening of the Southern Ocean. We visited in 2024 on #RVPolarstern and are now back on #RSVNuyina as part of the Deman Marine Voyage.
