In my dissertation I wrote about the concept of the Golden Cage. People who hoard power are desperately miserable, trapped by their own minds in a system built on the myth that any of this is good for anybody. Anyways he just tweeted it out
Feb 5, 2026 02:07So it seems that extreme wealth is highly addicting. The addict needs to cheat, steal, and lie to get their next fix... this seems like the pattern for the ultra rich. They are miserable, yes, and they are destructive to others. It's quite remarkable to see the parallels...
your problem, leon, IS the money.
not only is money NOT buying you happiness,
money is MAKING you not happy.
the only solution is to get rid of it. fast.
and since you REALLY don't like the poors,
give your money to them, so THEY'LL be not happy.
and maybe THAT thought will make YOU happy. 😉
Seeing Elon Musk, in particular, providing strong evidence to support your dissertation is very pleasing.
There was a psych study years ago that suggested there was a limit to money’s ability to “buy happiness”.
Basically, yes, having enough money to not struggle through every day alleviates stress and dissatisfaction.
But life is still life and past a certain $ point you get diminishing returns.
