- If you work somewhere that still communicates via X, this week is a good one to petition comms folks to stop using it (generates thousands of sexually abusive images per hour while its owner laughs, FT calls it a “deepfake porn site” www.ft.com/content/ad94...).
- Booked my travel for FOSDEM! Looking forward to meeting people and hanging out in the Open Source & EU Policy and the Browser / Web Platform rooms.

- Had to teach my 8yo about AI safety and opt-outs today, as their teacher let the class do “research” using a modern search engine.
- If I were to turn my thoughts on responsible, irresponsible AI into a public talk that is both critical and reasonable, which conferences should I pitch to? (European preferred)
- There may be great use cases for Large Language Models, but note that some use them to sexually assault women online.

- AI generated music made it to Tidal, I saw multiple fake Hiromi albums this week. When I tried to find out how to report, to help them do what's their job, a light gray text appeared. It asked me to rephrase to “help the AI come up with a quick (sic) answer”. ready to go live off grid in the woods

- AI note taking seems useful, as now nobody needs to take notes. But your notes will be super long and include way too much. Finding the subtle mistakes, misattributions, and remembering what's missing will take more time than writing them yourself (I pledge to do my bit and regularly volunteer).
