Presiding Bishop Sean Rowe’s statement today is pretty good, but it’s making me think about something on my mind anyway, which is how we use the word “division.” The division is the consequence of domination. The problem isn’t the division but the domination that causes it. Be clear on this. ⚓️
The key consequence here is: if division is a consequence of domination, then work toward eventual unity (which the church must seek!) requires rejecting and changing the structures of domination. Abolish ICE is the first step in Truth and Reconciliation
