- Reposted by Laurie Halse AndersonNo joke: I got angry hate mail today for writing an obituary of a Black woman scientist—because the person felt she did didn’t deserve the recognition. Which just makes me want to share it again: www.nature.com/articles/d41...

- Utah friends! Join me Tuesday 9/30 at University of Utah's Marriott Library. I'll talk about book banning, being a preacher's kid whose books are banned & "The Power of Story to Unite US." There will be time for schmoozing afterward. I'm happy to sign any books that you bring from home! 📚♥️🇺🇸

- Just stumbled on a great obituary of a #RevWar soldier, Josiah Wentworth, who died in 1841 at age 87. A Bostonian, Josiah joined the Patriot army after Lexington. My fave line: "...when a boy, (he) rendered himself obnoxious to the British officers." #Rebellion1776 @ssedlib.bsky.social
