- Forgive me for being cynical, but I wholeheartedly believe they’re doing this so he can retain certain financial privileges which he would likely lose if he were fired, because they’re worried what he’ll say and do if they no longer have any financial leash around his neck.

- The ruling right-wing faction of the Labour Party have made a spectacle of gleefully swinging the axe against any and all of their perceived enemies, fetters and vulnerable opposition, and yet they’re terrified of anyone taking the slightest action against Mandy. At some point you have to ask why.
- “You gave secrets to Epstein in 2009 to curry favour and future profit. Why should we think you didn’t use that playbook in 2025? What did you give Trump?” Mandy’s plausible defence will be “that’s clearly what the PM wanted as part of his appeasement strategy. Why else would they choose me?”
