I was going to write a whole effortpost about model evaluations but instead here, just take this chart
it technically could if the training data gets filled with slop and quality human-generated training data vanishes because of the death of journalism and academic publishing going to crap
Even then the present models would still exist

though they could still use web search, as long as the web also doesn't turn to unusable slop (highly likely)
