- From my FT response: "No progressive movement can succeed without restoring popular faith in the positive uses of government. That restoration, much discussed at our Cambridge conference, has become, perhaps, the central progressive political challenge of our time."
- Insightful and sober takeaway from the #beyondneoliberalism conference @ganeshsitaraman.bsky.social: “Forty years of neoliberalism have created a powerful group of corporations and individuals who represent a kind of civil oligopoly that is very difficult to challenge.” @glgerstle.bsky.social

- In the lecture I am giving today, I frame the tech world's turn toward Trump as a reaction against the Biden's administration efforts to discipline it with a European-style regulatory regime, converging with @maggor.bsky.social & @martinsandbu.ft.com... www.radcliffe.harvard.edu/event/2025-g...
- Interesting argument in this FT op-ed from today. The logic here parallels the work my friend @maggor.bsky.social has been doing about railroads in the 19c US, which argues that state-level RR rate regulation didn't just rein in capital but promoted a particular path of regional development.
