- Absolutely gobsmacked to have opened my email to find that I have been have been awarded the University of Sydney Faculty of Science Postgraduate Research Prize for Outstanding Academic Achievement. Thanks Hans Pols, Paul Rhodes and Dominic Murphy for being excellent supervisors!
- Proud to see AAHPSSS adopt the Equity & Diversity Principles I drafted as VP. Great collaboration with our executive team and membership to get this across the line. Now for the implementation work! Policy available on our website. #Leadership #EquityAndDiversity
- Quoted once again on matters relating to entry in the USA, and the effect of restricted travel on academia. The lead story is terrifying. I really wish things had gotten better, not worse! www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article...

- I'm possibly on some watch lists now but I honestly believe this is an issue that we need to speak out on, especially in the context of an election with one party endorsing these sorts of views. Academic freedom without diverse views is not free. Thanks to The Guardian #auspol #histmed #disability
- The intellectual isolation of the US is a serious problem for all of us. The article features a couple of our outspoken Sydney HPS grad students. Obstacles to the brilliant trans student doing a PhD in the US are very disturbing. #STS @4sonline.bsky.social @hpspodcast.bsky.social @sthv.bsky.social
- Creating a more welcoming environment for people with disabilities would help Australia compete globally, fulfill human rights obligations, and enrich campuses with diverse perspectives currently lost to discrimination. #disability #highered #equity #internationalstudents #auspol bit.ly/4ikCida
- In my first Disability Honi Soit piece of 2025, I examine a concerning shift at USyd: Anton Martino-Truswell, the Dean of St. Paul's College Graduate House, is stepping down. What will this mean for diversity in Sydney's college community? #disabliity #carers #highered honisoit.com/2025/04/a-co...

Not Guilty of sexual assault. But he believed justice had not been served, and reassured me of this. 1/ #sexualassault #metoo

- Yesterday tinder popped up with a warning that my match 'might not like' me saying to them that I wouldn't meet for a *guaranteed* hook up because of safety concerns. It suggested I rethink sending the message. I can't find tinder here on bluesky, but I'd suggest that's something they need to fix!

- I have thought about this, having Spasmodic Dysphonia myself AND being told by academic colleagues that I may not able to have a career in academia because of it. One of then even pointed to RFK and said I can use him as a career 'inspiration' for alt-ac. Weird world we live in. #disability
- It's been a year since the band I was in played our last ever show. I didn't know it would be our last, but it was. I am working with a dear friend on a new musical project and it feels exciting and creatively quirky and exactly what my soul needs in these uneasy times.

- Renewed my membership with The Greens today. It's honestly terrifying watching the USA right now, but we have time to fight back before our Federal Election in Australia. Let's do this. Egalitarianism, mateship and community are the heart of our country. Not oligarchs. #auspol
