- the ONLY thing you need to actually spend money on is a good hard drive. About £100 will get you a 4tb NAS drive. You can get started without one using regular hard drives, but you should probably spring for this long term. The pc? Any old laptop or PC you find will do the job.
- yeah but what can you do if that isnt an option, ive been into self-hosting for a good while but i havent truely been able to get into it due to lack of space, lack of hardware, etc etc. and of course, lack of funds most of my stuff is either bought on sale or digitally pirated
