Practice what you LIKE TO DRAW.
You don't have to master every single fundamental to have fantastic art. In fact you can "bullshit" your way through most of them with resources and clever workarounds when you need to. if you even want to.

Every time I get complimented on my color use in paintings I am cackling like a gremlin because I, in fact, avoid directly handling the colors for as much of the process as I feasibly can.
All of it is just my shading/value skill in B&W + colors thrown in blending mode filters
