for anyone who may be losing faith in himan progress, remember this: we invented the dildo 27,000 years before the gun.
we invented pornographic art tens of thousands of years before written language.
we invented the condom before steel.
Bread is older than war. Beer is older than borders.
We're better at making good things than bad. We've had more practice.
Terry Pratchett said that there seems to be a place inside the human skull where someone wrote ~"kings: seems like a good idea" and while that may seem at times to be the case, it is literal fact that care for the sick and disabled is written not merely in our bones, but our fossil record.
after waking up i have noticed the second one seems to imply i think written language is bad, and, no, just recent, but boy golly could we have gotten better at it before inventing unmoderated internet forums
pretend i said "agriculture" instead, that one really was a mistake

i take it back, writing is *terrible*
another thing to note is the first number is based on the oldest stone dildo we *have*. I fully believe dildos made of other materials and even stone dildos are *much* older, by tens or even hundreds of thousands of years, but we may never find out.
