A few years ago I bought this Brecht book at the estate sale of Tom Verlaine’s library. Inside I found a receipt from a bar in Berlin from 1988. 74 beers, DM 89.80 total. I don’t know for sure this was a tour night, maybe Verlaine bought the book used. But I like to tell myself he was on tour.
