Thanks to incredible mobilization and pressure on Congress last week, the Senate voted against a 6-bill funding package that included unnecessary additional funding for ICE and immigration detention. This was a huge win, but the fight is not over!
Today, the House will vote on a continuing resolution for the DHS funding only. Under the deal, Congress now has two weeks to continue funding negotiations and to consider accountability measures for ICE.
We have to keep up the heat! Call your Senators and your Representative today to let them know we are watching. We demand that no more money be sent to ICE or immigration detention! ICE OUT of our communities.
