- News today of yet another 90 day extension in the trade standoff the USA set off with China. I continue to worry that if a ‘deal’ finally happens, it will be bad for US automakers. China isn’t blinking and is not likely to make serious trade offs without gaining access to the US auto market.
- How many ‘trade experts’ had 🇨🇦 in the losing bracket because of Japan’s ‘deal’ with Trump & our lack of one. Now we see the Japan ‘deal’ has no paper & no actual tariff ceiling. Japan & the USA don’t even have same read of the terms. But go on.
- My mother would say that 🇨🇦 gave her peace & that she owed it peace back. She was a lot of firsts but she always put us first & led by example. When we went visit to her hometown, she wasn’t wistful. She bragged about 🇨🇦 to them all. I never forgot that. Happy Canada Day. 🎉
