Please please pleeeease don't tell someone that you're commenting because of a comment fest! That could really make someone feel bad. And please no naming of the fics you read in any connection to this thread.
Spam comments aren't real comments, so of course any fic with only those is fair game. Those fics are the reason we're having this fest in the first place.
Dec 14, 2025 17:46This is a riff on "elf on a shelf" (yes, I know the little elf dude is weird, but my niece LOVES hers and I like a theme). It's tied to Christmas, but this event is not. It's just a comment fest pushing back against the awful spam trend.
Nurturing comment culture in general is positive. This is just one idea from one person, and if it doesn't work for you, find something that does.
