- Question for anyone with Blender/texturing experience. What would the workflow look like to buy actual clothes (shirt, pants, hat), take photos of them together laid out flat (as if someone was wearing an outfit), and then mapping them to a low poly 3D character model?
- Also found this interesting TTRPG where you need to solve a small town mystery through a group chat. "...instead of speaking, send text messages back and forth to the other characters in a group chat, as well as individually, as though they aren’t in the same place together." www.aliceismissing.com
- At GÆMZ Tokyo meetup tonight, @thisisdotiris.bsky.social showed this meticulously crafted, deeply atmospheric liminal exploration game based on walking through Tokyo suburbs at night. Being made with a lot of care and attention by a two person (husband and wife) studio. Really looking forward to it.

- I plan on doing a list like this for every console. The only TV series here are American or Japanese. I don't think much has changed. A list like this reveals trends at the time. What media in the era was popular enough to be turned into a game? How does a PS3, PS4, PS5 list look in comparison?
- messed with some shaders and it turned out really cool
- My game curation project @exhibitplay.com received its first supporter! This will go towards a fund for commissioning written pieces and original micro games based on one of the current lists. A call for pitches will happen soon. If you have the means, you can support the project on buymeacoffee.

- Forgot to cite this quote. It's from the book 'Art in the After-Culture: Capitalist Crisis and Cultural Strategy' by @benadavis.bsky.social. It's an incredible analysis of the current state of art. The quote is aptly at the very end of the 'AI Aesthetics and Capitalism' chapter.
- Next Wednesday I'll be hosting our first experimental games meetup of the year. Come share what you're working on! Everyone is encouraged to share a bit about what you're working on. Share the ups, downs, sideways, and insides of your passion projects in this cozy little space.
- I wish all games had a mode where it turns off all objectives, UI, encounters, quests, etc and just lets you vibe and appreciate well crafted environments. It becomes a completely different experience when you roam with only your own zero distraction curiosity.
- I'll be at Tokyo Indies tonight to support my friends presentations about his game Doom Spiral. I've been helping out with the project a bit and it'll be releasing soon! He'll be sharing how the feedback at various Tokyo Indies demo sessions has helped the project.
- The Procession of Horses in Motion. A 5 minute 55 second experimental software film made with Unity3D that renders thousands of horses in realtime. The focus for this was purely on cinematic poetics rather than interactivity. Download and watch infinitetears.itch.io/the-processi...
- Had a fun design session with some friends to brainstorm the art direction for a community organization focused on forging connection. It embraces messiness, natural texture, collage, handwriting, tactility. The process will be more analog and take more time. But it will contain the full human touch
- Prototyping a game concept titled "deathbed doomscrolling"
- 2026 is going to be the year I start making more autobiographical focused vignette games. Games about waiting for the bus in Winnipeg during -50°C winters. Games about walking 6 hours to see 20000 birds land on a pond. Games about going to Ethiopia after 30 years to see my grandma.
- There aren't a lot of fencing games. Even less that are local multiplayer. Here are 5. Enjoy!
- Check out this wonderful collection of game poems! I helped out as one of many first readers, reviewing a lot of submissions. So many incredibly projects that explored the poetic potential of games really well. The final selection has a wide range of thought provoking, and visually unique games.
- I'm excited to share that Game Poems Issue 1 is now live at www.gamepoems.com/issue01 A new online literary magazine dedicated to exploring the artistic and poetic potential of short-form videogames by publishing new games directly in a playable format. Thanks for playing and sharing!
- Prototype for a surreal language learning game. Imagining this as the sequence that happens when you have achieved full understanding of a word.

- Worked on this slowly throughout the last month. Lots of incredibly unique games to explore from @amazefest.bsky.social. My favourite part of this was adding the flamingo confetti explosion.

- Starting the year running with a new release. Not a game! A film. A software film. When I made this on January.1st, I didn't even know it was the year of the horse. It was fate...
- This has been a fun side obsession for me. Cataloging and organizing niche games feels like treasure hunting. This whole process has made me really appreciate the work of curation. This year hoping for some collaborations with writers, artists, devs, researches, and curators. exhibitplay.com
- Helped my friend today with some bug testing and feedback on his [STATIC NOISES] shooter. It's got great visual and sound design inspired by other intense shooters like Hyper Demon.
- I watched Twilight for the first time today. Strange movie. Don't know how to describe the experience, but here's a screenshot I took of one scene that explains how I feel.
- Shared some end of the year reflections. Check it out!

- This was one of my favourite games of the year. Highly recommend you check it out if you love games like Halo:CE and Half Life 2. Incredible level design and world building. It's also very short which is a big plus for me personally. Happy to see that this game is getting lots of praise.
- hiiiii, Metal Garden is on sale right now both on Steam and Itch dot io! if you ever wanted to buy it, now's a really good time! store.steampowered.com/app/3539440/... tinerasoft.itch.io/metal-garden
- Witches, ghosts, hyperspace dragons, anti-fascism, devil hunting. Some of the encounters and topics that are part of this collection of great games.
- "A Software Film is any motion picture that is generated from an .exe during its theatrical, or otherwise, broadcast presentation." Check out the full post by @pawsmenu.info. Really interesting. I'm thinking of making a Software Film version of some of my games now.
