- 📣 For work package 9, Science communication, dissemination and training, Nina Karguth shared an update on the achievements of the past year, along with the communication strategy and future plans for public outreach.

- Her presentation highlighted the importance of addressing ethical, legal, and societal questions that arise when studying and predicting mental health risks across generations, ensuring that scientific progress goes hand in hand with responsibility and public trust. 🤝

- After a full first day of scientific discussions, new ideas, and exciting results from the past year, the FAMILY consortium took some time to unwind: with walks along the beach, a few rounds of beach volleyball, and even a game of boccia! ☀️🏐 Recharging our minds.💡
- 🧠 PhD student Boglarka Zsofia Kovacs introduced a new project to be carried out within WP5: Defining the role of brain metrics in the intergenerational transmission of mental illness. She will focus on normative brain deviations and clinical correlates in offspring at familial high-risk cohorts.
- 🐁 After exploring the human perspective, we turned to what animal models can teach us. Isabelle Mansuy and Jaime Borregón Jiménez presented the latest findings from WP6, highlighting how controlled experimental designs can help disentangle the classic 𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘷𝘴. 𝘯𝘶𝘳𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 question.
