- Let's continue our exploration of Iceland, and more specifically the Highlands, with the magnificent Ljótipollur crater. Take a minute to contemplate before starting your day. To prepare your trip to Iceland, there's only one reference: our “Charly Explore l'Islande” guide, tinyurl.com/guideice
- Many say it's the most colorful hill in Iceland... Brennisteinsalda is in the heart of the Highlands and is easily accessible by hiking, so why deprive yourself? Beware, there are hot, hot zones in this area, so don't stray from the marked path.
- Like a lighthouse on top of the Maïdo, the sun sets and lights up the Mafate cirque with its last rays 🌄. Seen from Salazie, the clouds put on a show! ☁️✨
- Astonishing! Some of the Puys Ramond craters on La Réunion are home to their own ecosystems. 🌱 Plants have evolved directly in the chimneys of these craters! It's details like these that make hiking here truly surprising. 👣✨
- Hats off to you! At the Étang-Salé energy vortex in La Réunion, you'll notice that some people have a real talent for defying the balance...
- 🌟 A great start to the week with a memorable hike in the Icelandic Highlands! 🏔️🥾 7 to 8 hours of walking... But what fun! ✨ Every day, we boost our tools for Tourist Offices. 📈✨ Video and 360° shots are now possible anywhere in the world thanks to our network.
- On this shoot, we arrived very early, at around 6am, to avoid the site being overcrowded. The morning light, mixed with the sea spray, created a magnificent atmosphere. The guide to preparing your trip to Iceland is available here in a DEMO version: tinyurl.com/guideice youtu.be/K6PCcWQt8ms
- I don't know if you remember the scene in the first Lord of the Rings film, where the Fellowship is looking for the door to Moria, the realm of the Dwarves, but this structure in the north-east of Iceland, in my opinion, must also be hiding or opening something! So what do you think?
- Please note that this area does not appear on our map, but it still deserved a little focus. This landscape is visible from the F229. It can only be admired by drone, which makes it difficult for the public to access. For your eyes only.
- Here's a new video teaser that I hope will inspire you to discover Iceland. This time, it's the hyper-touristy: needless to say, you won't be alone... Head for Reynisfjara, the most famous black sand beach in the south, with an interesting legend of trolls around the rocks emerging from the cliffs
- New spot in the App geysir, enjoy
- Krafla Viti from the Sky...
- Mount Keilir seen from different angles. Take my advice: don't leave the Reykjanes peninsula, close to the airport, too quickly, and explore the colourful area of Sogin.
- 📹 Two new stunt videos have just been added to the “Charly Explore Iceland” app! It's an intense time, as with every product launch 🚀. This time, you can test the app for free! 🎉
- Incredible! Lake Engjahver is almost boiling over, close to the current eruption. It's a very active geothermal zone. Obviously, swimming is not recommended, unless you were a lobster in a previous life. This spot is a must-see, and it's in the ‘Charly explores Iceland’ guidebook, out this week.
- A new illustration film for our ‘Charly Explore Iceland’ guide. This time, we're at Diamond Beach - one of the most visited places in Iceland - and it's easy to see why... #iceland #icelandtrip #diamondbeach #diamondbeachiceland #icelandroadtrip #wheniniceland #inspiredbyiceland #islande #ice #wave
- With the video it's even better ... youtu.be/n8jD6No2Sqw
- A few views of Maelifell just for your viewing pleasure
- Want to explore even more incredible places on your next trip to Iceland? Good news! From 15 December, you can download ‘Charly Explore Iceland’, the new, enhanced version of our guide, free of charge. A great improvement on the first edition already available last year. 🎉
- Did somebody already walked down there ?
- This area is a bit like my secret garden, very close to the airport. Even though the road is a bit rough, it's always a pleasure to come here. This crack is called Lambafellsgjá, and the kids love crossing it. 🌋✨ youtu.be/m-jc0LEIiNk
- There are more than 10,000 waterfalls in Iceland, and they are more than 10,000 different emotions. Foss á Síðu, located in the south, off the number 1 road, is featured in our guide with its fascinating history. 🌊✨ I'll be announcing version 2 of the guide soon... stay tuned! 🎧📖
- It's always with great emotion that I film glaciers in Iceland... every year, they retreat a little further, it's concrete and indisputable. Here we are at Hoffellsjökull, in the south-east, a discreet and little-visited spot, but one that features in our audio guide. 🎧❄️
- In the beginning there was nothing.... But today, it's a different story: this place is really busy! And that's understandable, it's very, very beautiful 😍. The geometry of the dunes, the reflection of the mountain in the lagoon and on the beach, the Viking village...
- Taken last year except one
- This is an iconic spot, marking the transition between the south and east of Iceland. From here, you enter a new world of fjords and wild landscapes. I stop here every season; I love walking along this vast beach, even if I've never reached the end of it.
- Hello everyone! Here's one of the films to be added to the new version of the Iceland Audioguide application. Yes, videos and 360° panoramas have been added to this new version! I'm trying to finish it quickly so that you can prepare for your next trip there. We're here at Svinafellsjökull.
- The puffin, nicknamed the ‘sea parrot’ for its colourful beak 🦜, is an emblematic bird of Iceland 🇮🇸. Traditionally eaten, this practice has declined due to the decline in its population 📉. The best time to see them is from May to July 📅, when they nest on coastal cliffs 🏞️.
- Today, here are 2 series of photos of my friend the Atlantic puffin. This little fisherman can dive up to 60 metres and bring several fish back to his burrow. Yes, it digs its own burrow, so don't get too close, you might collapse the gallery! 😬
