- The US, from what I hear, has about 15,000 soldiers in the region. There is no way they can "run Venezuela" directly with that.
- Questions: 1. What is the reaction among Venezuela's neighbours? 2. How will they respond if Chaos breaks out in V? 3. Is the Trump admin willing or able to try to stabilize the country and prevent a vacuum? 4. If not, could China, Russia, and/or Cuba exploit a vacuum and how?

- Is it just me, or are if Statistics Canada getting increasingly difficult to deal with to access thwir data projwcts. Simple linkage requests are being denied with reference to 'capacity constraints. @cleforum.bsky.social

- Very much agree. This will end my travelling to the US for the time the rule is in effect - even though I have family in the US and regularly attend professional meetings. International economic associations, include the Society of Labor Economics should stop organizing conferences in the US.

- How can it be that the US and Israel are completely isolated internationally and somehow tylenol is the top story of the day?
- If the UK does not take this good advice, maybe Canada will? Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver are great places for tech hubs - lets compete for them by enabling skilled migration and students.
