- There are a million great stories that show what Jesse did at the Post, but I keep thinking about his profile of Azzi Fudd from November, which builds on his profile of her in high school in *2018.* So few outlets let writers grow like that and let readers benefit. How insane to just throw it away.
- I'm just so mad. What a horrible day for D.C. (and, in fact, everywhere else!)
- Can the first question to Jon Cooper be what exactly he was going for with his look here
- Everyone is saying the same things, but they’re worth saying again, because they’re so true: Dan was so kind and funny and just such a gem of a person.

- I love the Marine Traffic app and will talk about it with anyone who will have me, if your podcast / show / party has space for people who love marine traffic, please invite me
- Staffcast back! @hackattackimer.bsky.social @seandoolittle.bsky.social and I are joined by @emmabaccellieri.bsky.social to talk boat names, marine traffic, cutting off fingers, the worst flags, bullpen carts, and more! podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/s... open.spotify.com/episode/08wT...
- Getting the same disappointment from learning I'm too tall to be Mrs. Met that I got from learning I'm too old to be an air traffic controller. Didn't *think* I was going to pursue those career paths but still really sad to learn the doors are shut! sterlingmets.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/en-US/Mets/j...
- This is so thorough and delightful and quite timely for me, personally, after yelling HOW DO THEY NOT KNOW BILLY MARTIN at my television just yesterday

- ACC football, baby
- A great dumb yearly goal is visiting every Edgar Allan Poe house museum. (Richmond, Baltimore, Philadelphia, NYC.) It’s fun and then you get to brag about doing something that no one in any room you walk into has done, unless you ever walk into a room of Edgar Allan Poe scholars

- COURT QUEENS is out March 17, women's hoops in pictures and words, 1890s to 2020s. It was a blast to pull together such a love letter of a coffee table book—pre-orders open everywhere you buy your books 🧡 (But 25% off for Barnes and Noble members right now! www.barnesandnoble.com/w/court-quee...)
- Genuinely shocked that most of the Letterboxd reviews of The Holiday focus on Jude Law…. Where is the respect for how charming Jack Black is here………..

- Checking in as yet another person who became obsessed with Lonesome Dove after thinking no way I would ever care that much about a 900-page cowboy novel 🫡 Sucker! I was so wrong!!! This was perhaps the most enjoyable reading experience of my adult life and I am so grateful I finally picked it up
- On a perfect-for-me copy of a perfect book:

- Just got out of the new Knives Out and proud to say I immediately clocked the MLB footage as from either 2025 or late 2024 because you could see the Motorola patch on a Cubs jersey
- (Coming down from my sicko euphoria to say that if Duke had lost I would have been mad about that final drive of regulation for the rest of my life)

- YOUR ACC CHAMPION DUKE BLUE DEVILS
- THAT’S RIGHT HAHAHHAH

- Exactly what I wanna see from Duke, give me all your fake punts, lean into the chaos, let’s commit to the bit here
- Beautiful sentence. God bless America.
- Really savoring this brief window of sicko fantasizing about what happens if James Madison loses tonight and Duke wins tomorrow
