- Out yesterday. Using a translation reporter on a mini-tn5 transposon, and high freq. mutagenesis, we looked at translation on whole genome scale independently of genome annotation. academic.oup.com/nar/article/...
- We did this in E. coli and identified some new small proteins, validated by western blot.

- The Progres method for fast protein structure searching is now available as a web server (progres.mrc-lmb.cam.ac.uk) and has the option to split query structures into domains with Chainsaw. An alternative to Foldseek for searching the AlphaFold database in < 1 second. (1/2)
