- I’ve decided to treat Bluesky like it’s Tumblr
- No new pictures. Where you at mentally?
- So on Halloween I experienced a detached retina. I was seen and treated quickly and my retina was saved. But my vision has been lousy and getting lousier since, because, for reasons unknown, retinal surgery hastens the development of a cataract. So now I get cataract surgery tomorrow. Whee.
- Usually when people get cataract surgery, the goal is perfect distance vision. But my right eye doesn’t have a cataract, but is still profoundly nearsighted, so my new lens will leave me still nearsighted, but less so than I used to be. I’ll still need glasses.
- I’m really quite done with not being able to see properly, I have to say. This is crap.
- Surgery seems to have been successful. Still healing but my vision is already crisper than it was before. My eye is still dilated 9 hours after, so I’m hanging out in a dark room still.
- It’s a trap
