- The photography in this film is amazing, truly artistic. One of those time where the camera is a character in itself. #HATM

- Reposted by Einav Rabinovitch-FoxThe pattern was designed by a Minneapolis yarn store. All sales are going to local immigrant aid organizations. They've raised over $125,000 (!!!) since the knitting pattern was posted a few days ago. 👏That's👏community👏action👏
- I can’t participate #HATM tonight but I will just say to Jason’s question my favorite Bond is Connery, partly because he is the best dressed Bond. The tux is important to building the character no less than the props. Here is something I wrote about it: www.saturdayeveningpost.com/2025/06/comm...
- I remained convinced that the reason people are still reluctant to call what we see fascism is because we can only visually recognize it in black and white. I hope these kind of juxtapositions would help.
- A great thread for a snowy Sunday, and as always an honor to be included
- Extreme & dangerous ice out there, & a nasty winter storm too, so stay in with all the great public scholarly writing, podcasts, new & forthcoming books in my 260th #ScholarSunday thread. Add more below, share widely, & stay warm & safe, all! 🗃️ blackwhiteandread.com/scholarsunda...

- Another woman politician is choosing to wear white to her inauguration. I’m sure the suffragists would approve.
- Looks like that once again General Winter is the best antidote to fascism.
- While my book focused on the left, I think there is a lot to say about the development and history of conservative fashion, especially in this moment (and it has a long history). Thank you for @huffpost.com for the opportunity to chime in www.huffpost.com/entry/maga-c...
- Thank you for all who showed up for the last panel of the #aha26, and especially for the conversation and companion of the wonderful @emilycontois.bsky.social and @nataliapetrzela.bsky.social
- A great thread for the new year. Check it out

- Socialists (and even communists) can care about fashion. A lot in fact. But somehow, it is always socialists who get the blame for wearing nice clothes...This story is as old as time, ask Clara Lemlich, she knows.
- Happy public domain day to all who celebrate! Exciting times for Betty Boop, the Maltese Falcon, Murder!, and a bunch of the best fashion photography seen on Vogue. check it out! 🗃️

- 2025 wasn't a good year for many reasons. It started with a wrap party for a project I was working on, not knowing what will come next when my contract at my uni was up. But it ended with having a great new job, and lots of things to look forward to. Things turn around-let's hope 2026 will be better
- Very honored to be included in this last #ScholarSunday thread of the year, which is as always, filled with great scholarship all around.

- It’s Black Friday, so good opportunity to repost this short piece about this day’s origins. Enjoy!
- As we gear up to the holiday, here is my latest #CommonThreads piece for @satevepost.bsky.social on Black Friday, which like everything in pop culture can be traced to the Great Depression 🗃 www.saturdayeveningpost.com/2025/11/comm...
- Great thread on Pins and Needles, the ILGWU production that is at the center of my next book. To add to Erik's, the show not only centered labor, but also provided a model on how art can have a political role in society, and how it, and especially theater, were central to the culture of unions.
- My book just turned 4, but it’s still kicking, and is also 50% off for Black Friday. www.press.uillinois.edu/books/?id=87...

- Nothing against this group or the clip, but I find it really interesting that Americans can’t comprehend fascism in color.
