- Naw, this one goes sooo hard. Saucy bass line, rhythmic hand percussion, some early 80s synth work, funk guitar all fill out this very danceable backing track behind lyrics that matter of factly state that things ain't easy, but look forward to progress. I fux with this one hard.
- Random lyrics off the album v13 Yo I spit pro, my flow so colloquial; Smashing on these beats like Godzilla did to Tokyo; Still hopeful though they tried to pull the okeydoke; People don't understand that I was living hella broke;
- Smooth orchestrated funky cut with a tinge of disco remaining on the palate. Definitely a track to get the head/neck working, but probably not enough to get you out of your seat to dance.

- Missed this one in the late 80s. Would have loved it back then. Non sequitor (to me) rhymes, solid beat that keeps the groove but doesn't get in the way, nice bass line and flute/horn samples, some scratching. Cool ass song.
- Super chill. Feels a bit ahead of its time for 1996. Nice thick bass holding down the low end. I digs.
- Probably some juicy samples in here.
- We made a video for the first track off our album. Check it out. The track is called My Life is Like. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z46I... #hiphop #musiciansky #sanfrancisco #underground #conscious #samplebeats #rhymes #blappers
- I chuckled as he slickly dropped a Toni Braxton AND a separate Carl Thomas reference later on. Also, no shame about not playing defense during his career 😂
- Freestyles were actually off the top, not prewrittens.

- Speaking of DJ Quik, best producer + mc to do it in my opinion. If someone wants to say Q-Tip, I'll accept it as a valid opinion.... won't necessarily agree with it, but will accept it.
- We made a lyric video for our track Mainstream last year. I forgot to post it then, so check it out now. Yee! www.youtube.com/watch?v=-UHl... #hiphop #underground #mainstream #yayarea #sanfrancisco #blappers #hiphopsky #musiciansky #beats #rhymes #blaster
- A fun, kinda funky track. You have to wait a bit for the brass instruments to take the spotlight... I thought they might not ever arrive. I like the little whistle synth that takes the lead from time to time.

- Yoooo, this album cover is too much. Is this like the proto version of Zapp's Computer Love? I think this track can be considered before its time musically and lyrically. "You're strung out on the grid". Phenomenal.

- Needed to hear this classic today. www.youtube.com/watch?v=7cQL...
- We were told that a friend's teenage child claimed that this track was a "banger" 🤣. I laugh, but I gotta admit it kinda is. eclecticians.bandcamp.com/track/mainst...
- I've always been a sucker for some flute. This track abides on the intro. Overall, this track is smooth, a solid example of soulful 80s RnB with nice groove and strong vocals. Recommend bumping this while cruising through traffic.

- Damn, when that bass and drums kicks in on the one after the first couple guitar notes.... oooweee, how can I be expected to stand still. Strings, horns bring substance to the arrangement. "I love you for what you are..." That's how I feel about this song. So many quotable in this song to boot.
