- as I get more into death metal (avoided entire metal genre for years due to thinking it was corny/needing songs to not have a million parts/the great east county punk vs scene wars of 2004-05) it strikes me that it’s similar to getting into soap operas. Deep lore, intersecting players, drama

- ok so I don’t do much open glaring at work but man oh man the daggers I was staring at this grown ass adult man & woman reading aloud, absolutely flabbergasted, from a novel depicting gay sex while saying things like “ewww gross” and in general being astonished in the most annoying way possible
- just heard someone sneeze and it was a brand new sound. Never heard that one before. They’re out here with new sneeze noises
- customer complaining that a book describing a very specific, very bad homeschool experience “makes people think we’re all weirdos” but counterpoint, I do not believe everyone thinks you teaching your kid using worksheets from Etsy is the same as fundamentalist religious abuse
