- Is there a trick in Unreal to make cast shadows from lights not so dark? Trying to light an interior with smooth ambient light (so there's not dark shadows in the corners and under objects) and just can't get anything that looks okay. Using a bunch of point lights to try and fill...

- Had some fantastic concepts created by @undoodle.bsky.social for the shops area on the main island. So excited to turn these 3D and get them in the game!!

- New item placement system today. Will be useful for decorating your house and boat with furniture!
- If I spawn an actor on the server, that has Replicates = true, and immediately (next node? onBeginPlay on the spawned actor?) set Replicates = false. Will that brief moment already server spawn the actor to all clients? Or how could I stop the replicate from happening?
- Love it when my unreal project gets corrupted randomly overnight and now plugin source files I've never touched won't compile!
- Trying to solve the final upgrade-to-UE5.7 bug today. When packaging and deploying to steam, players don't collide with ANYTHING. When testing in editor (or packaging and testing locally) everything works fine. WHAT WOULD EVEN CAUSE THIS?? (left steam, right editor)

- Another day, another progress shot! I think the layout (except for the front beach/shop area) is all figured. Aquarium area already looking cooool
- Layout progress, figuring out the garden and ponds area sizes, and making sure their layout works for the aquarium viewing caves below
- Trying to figure out the main hub island. Decided the castle concepts didn't quite fit, so trying something a bit more nature-y, which I think works much nicer with the game vibes. So GIANT TREE! HIDDEN CAVE BEHIND WATERFALL!
