- Washington Post is shuttering its book section, part of the ongoing war against literacy & knowledge. We at Current Affairs want to pick up the slack by expanding book reviews. Writers: pitch us anytime! And if you subscribe/donate we'll use the funding to commission book coverage.

But there is a stellar release calendar this year especially of Black writers and it would be a shame if one of the fascist victories was people not buying those books (from the indies that are in the fight with us). #BookSky

- I'm very excited about this issue of GLQ. I'm teaching a seminar on queer/trans studies in the abyss this semester and this is right on theme, with articles by multiple friends and colleagues and dear ones.
- I'm excited that so many early career scholars are a part of this GLQ issue @dukepress.bsky.social, including my incredible co-editors (I was just here to handle the emails). It's hard times, y'all. Hugs. read.dukeupress.edu/glq/issue/32/1
