Bring back the 20+ episode a season format some shows REALLY need that. Also filler episodes are fun I don’t give a fuck
The X-Files has maybe like 4 episodes a season that are about the actual mythology at hand. But if it weren’t for all of the monster of the week episodes the show wouldn’t be as iconic as it still is to this day.
supernatural also did this well, so many episodes are a whole new creature and storyline added just to explain one little piece of lore which is much more effective than skipping straight to the point. some of the less lore heavy episodes are the most memorable
