- 30 years later, if I watch a movie with John Candy I feel sadness that he died so young but it's always a joy to see him on the screen. I often thought that was just me. If you feel the same way, I recommend the documentary I Like Me. Hits a bit harder now that Catharine O'Hara is gone too.

- When I'd heard they were making Stephen King's Life of Chuck into a movie, I didn't appreciate how beautiful it could be. What a great film. At a time where it's hard to find the beauty in this world, this movie does just that. It's up there with Shawshank Redemption, the Green Mile, & Stand by Me

- Reposted by DMartinDear reviewer, I AM the expert! This is the most unhelpful comment from my #cihr grant. I guess all my training in vascular biology since undergrad (+MSc, PhD, 2.5yrs postdoc, 13 years running a lab in vascular research) and several publications on the topic not relevant?!?! Bring back f2f reviews!
- Danielle Smith is a separatist.
- She keeps getting chances to show some loyalty to Canada -- and keeps turning them away in order to defend Alberta separatists and their cause. It's who she is. It's time we all started saying it. #cdnpoli #abpoli www.nationalobserver.com/2026/02/02/o...

- Was doing this bit a few weeks ago as I made @drssfs.bsky.social bday cake :-p

- Honestly, I really love O'Hara. I was always excited to see her on the screen. I remember watching her in SCTV reruns after I'd seen her in Home alone (I'm the same age as Kevin so that was my 1st intro) & loved her. Then all the Christopher Guest films & Schitt's Creek. She was just awesome.
- First paper/review of the year accepted! Can't wait to share with you all when it's out. All the credit goes to the very talented @cailyncreative.bsky.social

- Reposted by DMartinGutted to learn of the passing of Dr Kirsty Duncan. She was a tireless fighter for the people she served, not only her local community in Toronto but others, especially the science & research & athletics communities too. She championed equity, diversity, inclusion and made change happen. 🤍🙏🏻
