The very un-prosaic answer is: it's just drawn manually, and not even super precisely as you can see here in 100% original size. But it still follows a specific lighting logic (top down), color logic (cold vs. warm), same as the main subject.

Watch how the subject moves and scrub between frames to really get a sense of what you are drawing. Next best thing would be drawing from life Ofcourse, but we all can’t do that.
