- Spoke with Jack White @irishtimes.com about the flooding in Clontarf & the damage to outdoor pool, & my worry as the sea came right up to people's homes Our Clontarf Flood Defence working group meeting postponed today as the OPW had no updates for us on our submission for Flood defence design.
- Reposted by Councillor Donna Cooney Dublin CityWe welcome the Tánaiste’s reassurance that new laws will not make cycling without a helmet a crime. While using helmets is important for cyclists, this law would have criminalised cyclists rather than users of high speed motorised bikes, scramblers and scooters, and dangerous drivers.
- A table quiz in aid of the CRC Special School in Clontarf on Friday 13th 7.30pm in Clontarf Rugby Club.

- As a local councillor & Chair of North Central Area sports fora I'm calling on Minister Boxer Moran & Government to provide assistance Also for measures to protect from further damage 💔 We need flood protection on Clontarf Promenade & not be waiting 'til 2033 #Flooding #stormdamage #stormcleanup
- Reposted by Councillor Donna Cooney Dublin CityWhen Extinction Rebellion peacefully protested at the gates of Leinster House, they were swiftly removed by a phalanx of Gardai and arrested. Yet when IFA members have occupied Bord Bia HQ or Agriculture House, the state’s response has been far more accomodating. www.thejournal.ie/extinction-r...
- This is shocking those poor poor people 😢 my thoughts are with them all and the emergency services. www.rte.ie/news/dublin/...
- This is pure victim blaming and there is no evidence to back up that's it's safer. I will be campaigning against this! Adults can make informed decision on what they wear. Why should Ireland be the only country in the EU to make high viz and helmets mandatory. irishcycle.com/2026/02/04/a...

- ⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️ Weather warning for wind Dublin from 5am to 11pm tomorrow Tuesday ⚠️ please be careful and watch for updates. It's already getting very breezy. And wave overtopping expected at high tides. @dubcitycouncil.bsky.social I will update on plans when information becomes available.
- Reposted by Councillor Donna Cooney Dublin CityIt's not acceptable that the only way to get live updates on public transport is by having an account on X which is now under investigation for CSAM. TFI and Irish Rail need to start providing accessible and reliable updates on their own platforms instead of relying on X. #SpeirGorm
- Ourselves, @dublincommuters.bsky.social, @galwaycommuters.bsky.social, & Cork Commuter Coalition wrote to Iarnród Éireann & the NTA today, asking them to cease posting real-time service updates exclusively on X. This vital info should be widely available. Read below: docs.google.com/document/d/1...
- The private rental market being able to increase rents to whatever the market allows in a housing crisis will just lead to more homelessness. Increasing number of people are getting notices to quit & this is very worrying for people renting. Local authorities need more affordable cost rental.

- Out this morning with clontarftidytowns thanks @dublincitycouncil.bsky.social NCA for dropping us more bags. And the New recycling ♻️ 3 way bin by the bandstand shelter Quite a bit of litter, but good to see less plastic from sea overtopping so easier to extract & toss most seaweed back into sea 🌊
- Spoke with Olivia Kelly @irishtimes.com my frustration about the lack of coordination between different government agencies to put in infrastructure in a timely, not wasteful & with the least disruption, feels like we are sinking backwards. There's simply no climate leader at the helm #climateaction
